The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...

Outside my window...it's a little bit hazy, but cool. The sun is shining through the haze. I think it's going to be a pretty nice day.

I am thinking... I wish I felt better. My allergies are kicking in. One of the OTHER reasons I don't look forward to the end of summer!

I am thankful for... I finally changed my internet service back to what I had. Tried Verizon, and they just couldn't work the kinks out - and there were a LOT of them!

From the kitchen... I think we're going to do a meatloaf, with some rice and veggies.

I am wearing...black pants and a blue t-shirt with red, white, and blue stars on it.

I am reading... Continuing The Hole in the Gospel. I would highly recommend this book, it's hard to read...but very moving and perhaps even life-changing.

I am hoping... that I can get things done today regardless of not feeling that great. I really don't feel any better sitting around, so I just need to keep moving.

I am creating... a new bill-paying system...it's not one I'm creating - rather using someone's plan to create OUR system.

I am praying...for both of my children's spiritual condition, my cousin - while she's on chemo again, my Aunt Barb - who's struggling with her health.

Around the house... things need cleaning, dusting, washing, drying ...etc. Gotta get cracking!

One of my favorite things...talking with my friend on the phone, with a cup of coffee or hot cocoa.

A few plans for the rest of the week. I need to take dd to unemployment office, get the house cleaned, finish my menu for company this Friday, pick up medicine for dog.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with

Other than my mom, WHO can resist that face! Isn't he the cutest?

My husband's allergies have kicked in too. He was miserable yesterday. This morning he took Allegra before leaving for work. He telephoned me at lunch time. He feels better. As for me, I have an earache. I used Swimmer's Ear this morning, thinking perhaps I have water trapped in my ear from washing my hair. Swimmer's Ear has helped in the past. If it doesn't help today, I will have to telephone the doctor.

We used Verizon for internet service at one time. We switched to cable sometime ago because we were not happy with Verizon. Cable Internet has been great!

Have a good week, Connie; I hope you feel better!

Ohhh, Petey is so cute. I think he has you wrapped around his "paw"! Hope you feel better...allergies can be a real pain...Len had bad, but since AZ, not too much...we use Cox...for everything. You know one of those bundle plans...only prob - if one goes outs...they all go out. No phone, no TV, no computer!!
