Mosaic Monday: A Vacation Dream

It's been weeks and weeks since I blogged! Wow, that's awful. I've had one of those summers that leave you wishing you could get away. Well, right now, that's just not possible, however...I can dream!

My husband works for Honda, and has a friend in Japan he communicates with from time to time. He sent these pictures to my hubby from the OZE National Park, and they just transport me to another place. They are beautiful, the mist is ethereal, and it just seems calm and restful.

Pictures we take may have special meaning to us, but sometimes, they can evoke images, feelings, memories, and senses in others, as well. I'm really glad this gentleman in another country the other side of the world, chose to share these with us.

Be sure to stop by The Little Red House for more Mosaic Mondays.

Mosaic Monday - Photo of the Months

I just started adding a favorite picture from each month of the
year since last June. I added a couple in the fall...since they
were so pretty.

It was fun to put these together - and reminisce. Like my daughter's
graduation party, the trip my hubby and I took to Columbus for
our anniversary (see the pretty dessert - yum!), the drive we took
down along the Ohio River in the fall, Thanksgiving with our kids,
Christmas and oh yea, the January that was...snow, snow, and more
snow.

Sometimes, you forget what you've enjoyed, and it's good to
look back!

Mosaic Monday

A little tiny Titmouse baby landed in the garden near the feeders...and couldn't find it's way back to it's nest. Mommy hovered nearby squawking away for a LONG time. The squirrel kept bugging the baby, so we took a garden glove and picked baby up and moved it to a quieter spot.

We, unfortunately, didn't have a happy ever after ending to this story, but I won't go into detail.

Unplanned though it was, I still enjoy the soft pinks and purples, and hints of white, and peach. It's turned out to be a very calming garden.

Mosaic Monday

I'm just thrilled with all the color and bloom in our garden so far. Here are just a few of our spring blooming plants in Mosaic.
From the painted fern up in the left hand corner, to the peach colored rose on the right corner...the colors are just beautiful this year.

I'm thrilled with our roses, too. They are blooming like crazy, the bright pink one up above is in bloom for the first time since we planted it last summer.

It's hard not to want to show off the plants in our garden, especially this year. I don't know what the difference has been - but everything looks healthy and robust.
