SOMEbody explain this stuff!

TECHNOLOGY TUTORING NEEDED!

Ok, I've been googling away, trying to figure out an easy explanation for things like RSS feed, DIGG and other things like DIGG. But, frankly - it's Greek to me!

Is there a good reason for using services like the above? Will it help draw an audience to your blog? How in the world do you get connected?

What I really need is a personal tutor to come sit down next to me and tell me exactly what to do first, then next...etc. I love adding new things and working with new programs - but getting to the place where you can actually use them is another thing.

So if anybody has any experience with this techno stuff and wouldn't mind volunteering some useful explanations and instructions, please comment away!

Haven't a clue. Heard of RSS... I don't use anything. I think the key for getting people to your blog is 1. Pictures 2. Visiting lots of other blogs and leaving comments. 3. Thanking those who visit you and leave a comment 4. Continually using Mr. Linkys on other blogs.
If people don't know you are out there, they don't know to visit you. I do know there are blog "cities" you can join...like Christian Women bloggers...but it didn't help me any. Just my thoughts...Have mucho fun!!

I can't help you either... but would like to find someone who could :) I'll have to check back and see if you get any responses.

HI! I popped over from WFMW, and stopped to take a look around. I'm still pretty new to this blogging thing, but an RSS Feed essentially lets people subscribe to your blog in a reader. So if I add you to my reader via your RSS Feed, I would get your posts automatically coming to me every time you post. You can allow it to let me read your whole post in my reader, or you can set it so that I can only see your first paragraph so I have to click over to get the rest of your post. This was certainly not the technical definition, but I hope it helps you out!
