Works-for-Me Wednesday

Hi all, this is my first time posting on Works-For-Me Wednesday. So bear with me as I stumble through!

I am always looking for a piece of paper or something - ANYTHING, to write on to take down messages while on the phone. I love the post-it-notes because I can than "post" them near my computer if it's business related, or near the fridge if it's family related. But post-it notes can blend in with the scenery around here.

My mother does a lot of needlepoint and she made me a Post-It Note holder!

Now, my notepad is easily visible. It stands out on my white desk, or near my woodgrain table even amidst other things laying there.

The other thing she made from needlepoint that I absolutely love, is my notebook cover.

I have a love-hate relationship with my purses - and I'm sure I'm not alone. Everything gets lost and you can't tell what's in there! But this bright multi-colored pen and notebook holder is VERY noticeable. It's just about the only thing I go looking for in my purse that I can just go right to.

I don't know if she made up these patterns, or bought the patterns, or someone shared them with her, but I'm sure people could find them in craft stores, or make them up. All I know is, THEY WORK FOR ME!

And if I haven't already done so, mom, THANKS!

Tell your mom I need that for my chemo bag. I always take a small notebook to write things to remember down, like names and suggestions. But I always have to dig for it!
Those are really cute!

Great stuff! I have never seen either of those done before. My aunt makes all of us odd things like toilet paper roll cozies.

:)

Come by and visit me over at Free 2 Be Frugal!

Cute projects. Go, Mom! I'm always leaving little scraps of paper everywhere; both of these ideas would probably keep my scraps better organized :)

What clever, clever ideas you have! Thanks for sharing. By-the-way, you can get liquid Castile soap at Krogers in their health food section. There's a small & large size, as always the large is the best value. You can also get it scented IF you want - my advice is to NOT get the scented so that you can add any fragrance or disinfecting oils (lavender, rosemary, tea tree, etc.) of your own. Enjoy!
