The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today...

Outside my window...cooler weather, a little gloomy, and windy. Fall is definitely in the air.

I am thinking...that I can only do so much. I have to regroup a little, spread a little to thin.

I am thankful for..God's healing touch. So many people we know are gravely ill, but God is in control, and He is the Great Physician.

From the kitchen...I made streusel apple pies today and put them in the freezer.
I am wearing...black pants and a blue patriotic t-shirt

I am reading...the tale end of "The Hole in Our Gospel."

I am hoping...that I can start paying more attention to the little things that need to be accomplished EVERY day.

I am creating...food to store for the winter - apples, peaches, blueberries, and raspberries.

I am hearing...The Nanny on TV, my dd is watching it.

Around the house...pick up and pick up and pick up. How does it get so messy?

One of my favorite things...in total antithesis to my friend Kim - warm, sunny, spring days!!

A few plans for the rest of the week...running to the bank, cleaning house, finishing client projects, sending out a big mailer for client

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Though they're few and far between...there's still roses blooming! I'll bet this week of cooler weather does a number on them...but I hope to see this little bud reach maturity.

I know that "spread too thin" feeling!

Good for you on getting pies in the freezer. My hubby would love that.

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I appreciate your visit.

By the way, what is a virtual assistant? And how did you get to be one?

I hope the little rose bud makes it. Roses do better here in the winter time. They struggle through the heat of summer with very few very tiny blooms and then get pretty in the fall.
I enjoyed your fall photos in the last post. I'm glad you visited my blog. I always love having visitors.
