Bloomin' Tuesday!

I'm so glad Bloomin' Tuesday is on, this is my favorite time of year. We have a few things coming up already.

This is one of only two yellow crocus I have. The rest are light purple or white. The little bunch of crocus is a sign of life amidst the decay around it.

The light purple crocus comes in bunches about this size. We have small bunches of this all across the south side of the house.

So small and delicate - and yet, in this Ohio weather - it's hardy and resilient.

Even the dog is getting into Spring...note the crocus in his fur by his ear! (No, it didn't land there on it's own - the dd thought this would make a cute pic, the dog, on the other hand, is mortified.)

This is my one and only hyacinth. I know there were more at one time - but I guess it's time to replant. I'm thinking maybe the squirrels like hyacinth bulbs.

Then there's the daffodils. They are so sunny and bright. I just love them. I keep saying I'm going to plant a whole drift of them somewhere, but we just haven't gotten to it.

There's a lot just beginning to poke their heads through the soil. It's fun to go out every day and keep track of what's coming up and what just started blooming. If you want to join in, just go to MsGreen"thumb"Jean and post your pics! We all want to see!

I agree with your dd; nice picture of the dog with the crocus on its head! I've only had purple crocus in my yard. I didn't know there were so many other colors of crocus.

Every time I see photos of others' spring bulb plants, I always wish I would have planted some in the fall. But, after our long scorching summers, I just don't have the will to do it!

I'm envious of your yellow crocus! I have a couple but the rabbits seem to like the buds. Love the daffodils, you must be way warmer and sunnier than me, as you can see I only have short leaves. Great post! Jean
