The Simple Woman's Daybook for March 23, 2009

For Today...

Outside my window... sunshine! It's not as warm as yesterday, but the warmth of the sunshine makes it feel nice. The dog is totally enjoying this weather. What a hoot.

I am thinking...we have a really nice Small Group. We got together last night for our continued Bible Study on prayer - with the video on prayer with Jim Cymbala from Brooklyn Tabernacle. We had some really nice input and a wonderful prayer time.

From the learning rooms...It's hard to believe - just 68 days until graduation! We're closing in on the end of American Government...and finishing up some important review in English.

I am thankful for... friends who pray with you, for knowing little John Michael Pash Sheppard (died March 23, 1990), and for loving Mrs. Bobbie Sheppard who has since passed but whose birthday was March 23, and for loving my wonderful Grandpa and Grandma Pedde whose anniversary was March 23. Truly a day to remember in our lives.

From the kitchen... I had a bowl of Cream of Wheat with raisins this morning. It has been forever since making Cream of Wheat. It was delicious!!

I am wearing... Black pants, and a turquoise and white top.

I am reading... I am reading through the Bible in a year - with the express purpose of discovering the promises of God. It amazes me how many there are!!

I am hoping... to finally finish ordering graduation announcements, a diploma, and a graduation cap today!

I am creating... a plan for spending time on scrapbooking a homeschool book for dd, finding a picture of a cake decorating idea for graduation, and a menu for open house. That's a tall order.

I am hearing...nothing! Well, except the ticking of the mantle clock. How peaceful!!

Around the house...I have a load of clothes in the wash, my kitchen and living room are clean, and I know what I'm fixing for supper. I may have some time to scrapbook today!

One of my favorite things...is doing something unique with my husband. We're thinking about getting tickets to the next play at the area dinner theater for after Easter. I can't wait. It's a bit pricey, but so worth the effort.

A few plans for the rest of the week... some spring cleaning, some scrapbooking, and a little tiny bit of shopping - Hobby Lobby!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Dreams of flowers to come!

Hi Connie...so glad you had a good day. I did a little freshning of some flower pots and Len gave them some Miracle grow. The wind chime is donging...it is so pretty...I hope to maybe go to the Goodwill and look for something to keep me busy while I am stuck at home. Will see....love ya
