Thankful Thursday

This morning as I think of what I'm thankful for, I find myself looking around me and wondering what I DON'T have to be thankful for. I can't think of much, if anything.
I'm married to a wonderful man, who loves the Lord and wants to keep growing in his faith. I have two children, and while they are not living for the Lord - I am thankful for the ability to pray for them, to have hope in what God will do in them, and for the love I know God has for them in spite of themselves! I am thankful for the economy! I know, how nuts is that? Well, it's teaching us to re-evaluate what's important - and what's not. It's making us realize that we have so much compared to others we know. About the time I want to complain that we've taken a cut in pay, or that food or gas has gone up - God brings me up short by reminding me of a friend who just lost a job, or reminds me that there are families living in shelters in Dayton because they've lost their home due to unemployment.
I'm thankful for my computer. Who would have ever thought even five years ago, that I would be making an income from a computer? Wow...it still amazes me.
I could go on and on...but there is not time. I just find that it's easier to stay positive when I look at problems or difficulties that come up from a different perspective....from a thankful heart.

Have a blessed day.
