Friday's Fave Five

I like this group over at Susanne's Living to Tell the Story. Here are some of the highlights of my week.

1. Well, it's been slow in coming...and it still has a long way to go - but it's a tad warmer, and there is the great, bright thing in the sky!!! Whoa, where's the sunglasses? I cannot tell you how anxious I am for Spring. I'll take every minute more of daylight, any degree more in temp, and all the sunshine that comes my way.

2. Found out that the terrible fear I was left with after my doctor's appointments last week, are in fact not a benign tumor or cancer - but due to a side effect of medication! TRUST ME, that was the highlight of my week!

3. I went through every folder in my file box, and took out any unnecessary papers, had my daughter shred them, and then filed all papers that needed filing. I haven't done this in six months - and it had really piled up. What a sense of accomplishment! Makes me feel like taking on another project!

4. I'm enjoying the growing responsibility of working with my client. She is beginning to keep me really busy. The busier, the more I make! Good deal. I learned to put together a fan page on Facebook, I've interacted with clients, done some troubleshooting, ordered a gift, sent out letters. The list goes on and on - and....I can do it from home! Yes!!

5. Monopoly Deal! Do you love Monopoly? I do - but face it, it takes forever. Most of my family do not have the patience for that. We bought ourselves a game of Monopoly Deal for Christmas, and it has fast become a popular game not only in OUR household - but in at least 3 other homes that we introduced the game to! Try it!! One hand takes less than 15 minutes, and it's a blast. My hubby and I play it in the evenings, quite often.

Hi Connie!
I love Spring!
Glad you got the right diagnosis and it was a relief!
I shred some unnecessary files this week too and it is a good feeling.
I'm going to have to look into Monopoly Deal, we're big fans of Monopoly.
have a great weekend.

We enjoy playing Monopoly as a family and have a bunch of different boards. I have never tried the one you are talking about, but it sounds good. The game is a bit to long.

SO GLAD things didn't turn out as badly as your thought. My sister-in-law, however, DID find out that she has lymphoma. A complete & utter surprise. She had her 1st round of chemo on Thursday.

Sounds like you had a great week, though. That's ALWAYS a good thing! :-) What a lovely sunshiny day, today...the news said it's the 1st time we've had 3 straight days of sunshine since NOVEMBER!

Blessings, Kim<><

I enjoyed your list and can certainly relate to your first item! I love spring - even just the promise of spring!

I'm so glad the news from the doc was not what you feared!

I'm with you on #3, too....I've been working on decluttering as well - on a slightly larger level. I've gone through every box in my basement (and after 15 years of 7 people 'storing' things, that was plenty, I'll tell you!) I feel a huge sense of accomplishment as I look at the mounds of garbage waiting to go to the dump and at the empty space that is left.

Never heard of Monopoly Deal...I'll have to look into that - we can always use a new game around here.

Helllo Connie!

I can imagine what a relief it was to find out that the diagnosis was a med reaction and not something like the two you mentioned.

My daughter gave us Star Trek Monopoly for Christmas and that was fun buying up all the well known properties in Star Trek. I'll have to check out Monopoly Deal because you're right the game does take forever and a day to play.

I'll be doing the file shredding thing this week.
