Bloomin' Tuesday at the Sheppard house

I've been working a lot more hours then I had planned this week and last. So, I am learning to take breaks and go walk the garden with camera in hand. It's a wonderful mental health break.

Hosta is one of my all time favorite plants. There are so many kinds! I'd love to collect every kind available...but I don't know where I'd put them all.

I have both a white and old-fashioned pink bleeding heart bush on the north side of our house. You can see, they are doing very well. I just love the flowers, like little angel wings.

This is the only time of year that I like this pulmonaria plant. After the blooms are spent - I wish the thing would just die back down to the ground and be unseen. It always looks sloppy after the blooms are gone. But while they're blooming - they're so pretty.

Funny, I don't REMEMBER planting that there! It must be a new plant...something like SmileyMutt plant, Dog with 'Tude plant.

The raspberry bed is looking good. I love those determined-not-to-die tulips in the midst of the patch!

Last year, I thought we'd lost our climbing rose. But it's looking good and climbing fast. That's what I was hoping for. Now I need to figure out how to get it to fill in some.

I wasn't sure if the Princess Diana clematis would come back this year, after the winter we had - but it's looking pretty good. Can't wait for the blooms this summer.

Well, just a quick update on the Sheppard garden. What's happening in yours? Go to MsGreen"thumb"Jean and share you pics, or view other garden pics. Enjoy!

The bleeding heart is beautiful! I have some plants that I wish would die back after they bllom as well - I just try to plant lots of other flowering plants around them as a disguise. :-)
